Overview
There are a few known limitations when using M-Files placeholders in Microsoft Excel files.
Solution
- If a placeholder tag has no value, it will show up as blank in the Excel file. There is no known way to display the placeholder tag insert if the property value is blank
- There is no way to edit the character limit of a placeholder in an Excel file. Microsoft Word has a registry key that allows the placeholder tag to display the full value, but that does not exist in Excel, and the value will get truncated after a certain length.
