Overview
Sometimes M-Files support personal might ask you to collect Microsoft Network Monitor (Netmon) log which is often required for troubleshooting network or communication related issue.
Get the Microsoft Network Monitor from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/portable/using-the-netmon-tool and install it.
Solution
· Run the MS Network Monitor in "Run as Administrator" mode.
· After the Microsoft Network Monitor launching, click "New capture".
· Click "Start" to begin protocol capture process.
· Do the problematic use case.
· Click "Stop" to finish the logging.
· In the "File"-menu, select "Save as" with "All captured frames" and save the captured log file in the .cap-format.
· It is very recommended to compress and encrypt the exported log file with WinZip/7z before sending it to M-Files support.
