Overview
When dragging and dropping multiple files into M-Files, choosing a Class, and entering the correct metadata, users may experience only the first file being checked in with proper data- while the other files will have a default class of (0) without any metadata at all.Solution
Users need to ensure after entering the metadata that the box for "Use these values as defaults for the next document" is checked:*Also the following should be set to 0 in AVS in the Admin Console:
To verify, In AVS>Configuration (Manage Client Settings Centrally must be set to Yes)
Then navigate to AVS>Configuration>Client>Desktop>Metadata Card>Property Prefilling>Allow for Object Types
If this setting is configured, it needs to be undone as it will prevent the above solution from working.
