Android M-Files for Intune: This application has not been defined to be used with user error message

Overview

When using M-Files for Intune mobile application user receives text “This application has not been defined to be used with user” error message when trying to login to the application.
 

Solution

If the error message in subject is shown, this typically means user has non-configured centrally controlled mobile application in use.
From Q3/2021 application releases, using such M-Files for Intune Android application must meet the following requirements:

1. The device must have “Microsoft Intune Company Portal” application installed
   1. Play store link: Link to Play store
2. User must be logged in with corporation credentials to the MS Intune Company profile
3. Intune App Protection policy must have been created and assigned to a user group containing the user trying to use M-Files mobile app.​​​​​
