As the needs of your organization evolve, proper handling of M-Files user accounts in Manage can help you optimize your allocation. Releasing licenses and disabling inactive users is discussed here.
Solution
As users are added to the Manage environment, a default license type can be assigned. In the event the license allocation reaches capacity, user accounts will be flagged as "Waiting", indicating a license needs to be freed up (or added to the subscription) before the user account can be configured to access vaults.
It is important to note that simply disabling a current user in Manage does not release the license. This is a two-step process in Manage. Select the individual user account, and then operate the License type drop-down to set the account to "No license".
