Compliance Kit module Managed Properties can be used to copy properties indirectly to an object.Solution
So, let's assume a Document, that points to a Tenant object that points to a Client (blue arrows).We want to get the Clients listed to the Document, but there is no direct connection.
First, we use Managed Properties to create a bi-directional link between Client and Tenant, so that the Clients now also point to Tenant (orange dashed arrow). The Tenant property in the image below is the same property the Document uses to point to the Tenant.
At this point both the Document and the Client have the same reference to the Tenant, and we will utilize that in the following Managed Properties configuration that implements the property copy (green dashed arrow).
The property Client (a.) (choose from list Clients, multiselect) will automatically get all clients that point to the same Tenant as the host Document. Notice the Matching Property that is evaluated in triggering the managed property (= basically, get all Clients that point to the same Tenant as me).
