Disabling sharing with anyone with the link

Sharing with anyone with the link is enabled by default, unless public links have been previously disabled. For more information, see Configuring visitor links for anyone for the classic M-Files Desktop and public links for the classic M-Files Web. To make sure that files in a vault are shared outside M-Files only with known people who are added as visitors, you must disable the functionality in the Advanced Vault Settings.

To disable sharing with anyone with the link in a vault:

In M-Files Admin, go to the Advanced Vault Settings section.
1. Open M-Files Admin.
2. In the left-side tree view, expand an M-Files server connection.
3. Expand Document Vaults.
4. Expand a vault.
5. Select Configurations.
6. In the navigation area, select Advanced Vault Settings.
7. Open the Configuration tab.
  Result:The advanced vault settings are shown.
Select External Sharing
Set Allow sharing to Anyone with the link to no.
