Overview

M-Files Admin shows a lot of cancelled tasks in the background tasks section of a vault.
 

Solution

M-Files 2020 January update has an optimization where several tasks of the same type are combined into a single, larger task. This allows the use of parallelism in the background task processing and therefore, under certain circumstances, a significant performance boost. During this operation all but one of those combined tasks will be marked as cancelled so with a great likelihood this is completely normal operation.
