Overview
While clicking a pinned virtual folder in the Home screen of M-Files Desktop, “Not found” error is shown.
If you have a view that is grouped by a particular property definition and the property definition can have values A and B, and if you have one item with value B and 10 000 items with value “A”, then “B” virtual folder may not be created every time if that item does not happen to appear in the item search results. In this case, this kind of “Not found error” could arise.
Solution
When a view is opened, there is a limit of how many objects the server will return for the search condition of the view. The search result is not always identical to the previous ones.
To remedy this situation, we recommend that you make views inside views that will work the way that is intended by the grouping level. This way, the search result can be targeted more precisely.
Linking to such a view would not cause problems of this topic, because it would be a so-called static search. Nested views will always inherit higher level search filters.
