The way Date Created is shown in M-Files Desktop has been changed in February 2021 release.Details
Before February 2021 release, the Date created metadata on the metadata card displayed the date when the file was created outside M-Files. This applied so that if a file to be stored in the document vault was created earlier outside the document vault, the field showed the original creation date of that file.This was basically an issue, because the files that gets stored to the document vault are not the original files, but copies of those files. The original files remain at the location from where they were copied to be stored at the document vault.
From the February 2021 release, this issue is solved, and the Created date now displays the date when the object was created to the document vault.
This feature change should be considered if you consider creating views that rely to the creation date metadata.
