Symptoms
An error message is displayed when using M-Files Web Access:
Error: Exception in observer: TypeError: W.GetIdAsStringForRequest is not a function

Solution
This problem is related to an M-Files Server upgrade and can be quite confusing as the problem may not be displayed to all web interface users. Usually Internet Explorer and Firefox users do not get this error message, but users of Google Chrome, Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge do.
The issue can be resolved by clearing the browser cache of the affected browsers.
NOTE: We recommend that browser cache be cleared each time an M-Files Server upgrade has taken place and when M-Files Web Access is used.
