How M-Files Sorts Related Objects

Overview

In some views, objects are linked together by relationships.
The sorting order of the objects may in some cases look strange.
There is, however, an explanation why related items are listed in the way system shows those.
 

Solution

In situations where the related object listing in a view looks like it is not in order by any specific way, there is still an order how the objects are listed.

The sort order for the related objects is

1. by special characters,
2. by alphabets a-z.

The sorting order can be changed by handling the column sort order.
