How to export Compliance Kit configurations with Named Value Manager

Last updated on 28 February 2021

Overview

Sometimes you may want to export Compliance Kit configuration as json using Named Value Manager instead of M-Files Admin tool and Configurations.

Solution

Launch Named Value Manager and select correct server and vault, then

-       Storage Type: MFSystemAdminConfiguration

-       Namespace: M-Files.ComplianceKit.AdvancedNotifications

-       Click 'Load'

-       Select 'configuration' and you can see the current configuration. Now you can copy and paste this and save it to new json -file.

If you have CK version 2.x, use Storage Type: MFConfigurationValue

You have to do this separately for each module using correct namespace. Please note, that you can see all the configured modules and namespaces with the following settings:

-       Storage Type: MFSystemAdminConfiguration

-       Namespace: MFiles.ComplianceKit

-       Select 'conf

Namespaces are:

M-Files.ComplianceKit.AdvancedNotifications

M-Files.ComplianceKit.ChangeRequest

M-Files.ComplianceKit.ControlledPrinting

M-Files.ComplianceKit.ElectronicSignature

M-Files.ComplianceKit.HierarchyManager

M-Files.ComplianceKit.LogExporter

M-Files.ComplianceKit.ManagedProperties

M-Files.ComplianceKit.ObjectCreator

M-Files.ComplianceKit.PDFProcessor

M-Files.ComplianceKit.PeriodicTask

M-Files.ComplianceKit.PrintPreventionManager

M-Files.ComplianceKit.Training
