M-Files Admin: Which Object Types are External

Overview

Sometimes a Vault has several Object Types listed. There are two ways to sort the listings to see which ones are External at a glance.

Solution

First, open M-Files Admin and navigate to your Vault. Expand Metadata Structure (Flat View) and choose Object Types.

Click on the Type -column to sort the External and Internal to be listed first.

If you want to see only External Object Types Listed, choose the View dropdown menu at the top menu bar, and choose Filter. This makes it possible for you to filter out all Object Types as you choose.

Now to the Type -column, write External and press Enter.

Now the listing shows only External Object Types.
