One of the biggest benefits of M-Files is document collaboration. With M-Files, you can work on a shared document instead of sending email attachments. M-Files also maintains a version history of the document, so you can track changes and access previous versions.
Sharing
In M-Files, you can collaborate on a document by sending a link to the document. You can send a link to a colleague or to a person who does not have access to M-Files.
When a user opens the link, they can view or edit that document based on their permissions. You do not need to send attachments. This prevents duplicate copies of the same document.
Versioning
M-Files automatically maintains a version history, of each document. You can view and access previous versions when needed.
When the file content or metadata changes, M-Files creates a new version. Users always work on the same document, and when a colleague opens the document, they see the latest version.
