Overview
If you use an indirect reference to retrieve the value for an M-Files Compliance Kit Managed Property, in a specific situation the value can be left empty and can cause confusion.
Solution
If you have the setup as described above, and the value is not getting calculated, make sure your indirect reference is not to a specific version of the source object.
With Compliance Kit, references to specific versions are common, and if that specific version does not contain the property values needed for the calculation, the resulting value will be empty.
