Overview

In some instances, users may receive a message similar to the one below when dragging and dropping a file to the new M-Files Desktop.

Solution

This depends on the source from which the user is dragging and dropping files. Not all the sources allow dragging and dropping files directly. For example, when the files are dragged from the New Outlook to M-Files, this message is expected. The user should save the file to the local computer first, and only then drag and drop it to M-Files.
