M-Files Desktop

Overview

M-Files Desktop has M-Files logos in two different places: in the top header and in task area. You can remove this branding and change it to your own. This requires the free "Theme Editor" vault application. The application can also be used to change other elements of the UI, such as icons, colors and font sizes.
Users with full control of the vault can modify the look and feel of M-Files Desktop on their own workstation, and then deploy the modified theme to all users of the vault.

Solution

You can get Theme Editor vault application from M-Files solution catalog here: Theme Editor
The full configuration guide can be found here: M-Files Theme Editor Configuration

The top area logo needs to be in .PNG format. The logo dimensions should be 128x32 pixels with 32-bit color depth, 72 dpi. The logo can contain transparent parts, but the alpha channel needs to be included.

Quick walkthrough to change the logos:
Open Theme Editor from left-hand Task Area by choosing Edit Theme. If you are not able to see the task area, press ALT - Choose View from top menu, then Task Area -> Normal.

From M-Files UI Teheme Editor, choose "Resources"-tab and "Add File"

Browse for your logo file and choose "Open". Your logo file should now be listed in resource files.

Choose "Top Area" tab and click the checkbox next to "Logo". Your logo file name should now be displayed next to the check box. If not, click the down arrow on the right and choose your logo file.
Click green "Deploy" to deploy the modified UI to all users.

Task Area logo
M-Files logo is also displayed on the Task Area bottom. You can change this image to a 162x247 pixel image (.PNG, 24-bit)

Task area default logo image

To change this image, choose "Task Area" tab. Under "Background" title, change "Bottom Right" image to your own logo image that has been added via "Resources" tab the same way top area logo file is added.
