Overview
Previously there was an addon, “Copy Hyperlink to Clipboard”, recently replaced by the “Copy Link” feature. The previous “Copy Hyperlink to Clipboard” vault application is no longer supported; This article describes how to remove the element from the context menu of the M-Files Desktop from one workstation or all workstations.
Solution
Individual workstation
The need is to keep the old feature in place along with the new Copy Link feature company-wide. In that case, an individual user can remove the old context menu item by opening the M-Files Desktop, entering a document vault, pressing the Alt button from the keyboard, and selecting Settings from the M-Files Desktop’s text ribbon -> Applications.
Remove the selection marker of the application and select “Ok”.
All company workstations
Open the M-Files Admin tool with vault administrator permissions.
Right-click the document vault name, and select Applications.
At the window shows up, select the Copy Hyperlink to Clipboard application, and from the bottom of the window, select “Uninstall” and the “Close.”
During the next login to the document vault, the context menu item of “Copy Hyperlink to Clipboard” will disappear from the users.
