- Open the M-Files app.
- Log in to a vault.
- Keep the app running in the background.
- Open a third-party app, e.g., Xodo.
Note: editing PDF through Adobe Acrobat Reader is not currently supported by the Adobe app provider. - Go to System Files à choose M-Files.
Note: The following instructions can vary depending on the third-party application.
- Select the vault, e.g., Documents.
Note: the user must first log in to the vault and have the M-Files app running in the background, see steps 2 and 3.
- Select the vault list, e.g. Recently Accessed by Me.
- Navigate to the folder with a PDF document and select the document to edit.
- Edit the document and press the arrow back on the toolbar's top left corner.
- "Document saved." toast will be shown.
- Navigate back to the M-Files app.
- The object with the edited PDF document will show as "checked out".
- Check in the file to save the changes.
