Overview
By default, M-Files Desktop (both classic and new) and M-Files Web clients include the "Use with M-Files Mobile" option, which the users can select via user initials in the top-right corner of the user interface. This feature allows users to quickly add a vault connection to their mobile device using a QR code. In certain environments you may want to disable this option.
Solution
To remove the "Use with M-Files Mobile" option:
- Open M-Files Admin.
- Navigate to the Advanced Vault Settings for the desired vault.
- Locate the setting named "Access with QR Code" and disable it as in the picture below.
- Save the changes.
- Users may need to log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.
Once this setting is disabled, the "Use with M-Files Mobile" option will no longer be available to users.
