User might get the following error message saying, "Opening the URL failed" and "Object was not found".Solution
Check user reading rights:
- Navigate to the metadata card of the linked object
- Click Object Permissions (lock icon) on the lower left corner of the metadata card
- On Permissions window look for Effective permissions (bottom section)
- Check that user has Read permission ticked
Check that user has document vault connection to the linked object's document vault:
- On user's PC, Right click M-Files icon on the Windows notification area on the lower right corner (icon might be hidden behind an arrow)
- Click Settings > M-Files Desktop Settings
- Check that necessary document vault is listed in Document Vault Connections
- Select the necessary document vault and click Test Connection to Document Vault
- If the test connection failed, double check the Vault Connection properties.
Check if M-Files Desktop Client is on Offline mode
M-Files URL won't work if Document Vault Connection is properly configured, but M-Files Desktop Client is set to Offline mode. M-Files Desktop Client can be set to Online mode by clicking on user name in M-Files Desktop Client and selecting "Go Online".Reference Documents
