"Not found" error when editing object with M-Files Plugin for Hubshare

M-Files Hubshare

Overview

An error message may appear when attempting to modify an object integrated with the M-Files Plugin for Hubshare. This article provides a resolution procedure.

Solution

When editing an object (Hub, Hubshare User or even Hubshare Group) and you get this error below:

A screenshot of a computer AI-generated content may be incorrect.

You might be in the scenario mentioned above.

Please verify your M-Files Plugin for Hubshare logs if you see an error like this one below:

Event handler 'VaultApplication.HandleObjectCreationOrUpdate' failed. Type:MFEventHandlerBeforeCheckInChangesFinalize, ObjVer:(102-29-5), CurrentUser:2

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040001): Not found.

If you are in this situation, then it means that you have a related object that does not exist anymore or is not up to date which does not let you manage your Hubshare related objects in your vault.

To fix this, please go to M-Files Admin, and reach the M-Files Plugin for Hubshare configurations dashboard.

In the "Get Updates from M-Files Hubshare" section, press "Update now", the goal is to synchronize everything with M-Files Hubshare to make sure the vault does not have any missing information.

A screenshot of a computer error AI-generated content may be incorrect.

When finished this should look like this:

A screenshot of a computer AI-generated content may be incorrect.

You can now go back to M-Files and try to update your object again; this should now be working as fine the information is up to date and synchronized with Hubshare.
