Overview
When scanning a document from a scanner or simply dragging and dropping to the vault as a TIFF file, the conversion to a searchable PDF occurs only when the 2 conditions have been met.
1. OCR is enabled in your license. This would be listed under the Additional Modules section.
2. OCR Module is installed.

One common question is the request to hide the "Conversion to searchable PDF" window that shows up when the above function is invoked. At the time of this article, this is not possible. There is a feature enhancement request under ID 145079 for the ability to hide the dialog, which may be taken into a future build.
