Email Notifications

Overview

E-mail notifications sent automatically by M-Files Server may end up filtered to the spam or junk folder in your e-mail application (e.g. Office 365). There are some approaches to preventing this from happening.
 

Solution

When a user creates an assignment for some person to carry out an e-mail notification will be sent to that person as a recipient. By default M-Files Server adds the assignment creator as the sender of that e-mail which in some conditions may then result in that mail being filtered.
There is the possibility of setting the sender address to one specific address instead. To configure this first open the "Notification Settings" dialog of your document vault in M-Files Admin:



Then enter your preferred e-mail sender details as illustrated next:


Finally in the "Configurations > Advanced Vault Settings > Configuration > Notifications" section set the option "New Assignment Sender From Settings" to Yes:
