Overview
Sometimes you create a search with few additional conditions. You can create a view from this (or any recent) search.
Solution
You can create a new view from a search with the following procedure:
- Execute a search with additional conditions (note that even if you would add quick search strings, those will not be part of the view to be created):
- When you have the search results visible, click to the "Latest Searches" from the location bar at the top:
- In the "Latest Searches", add the "Date Created" column if it's not visible to make identifying the searches easier:
- Select the correct Search Results from which you want to create a view, and press CTRL+C (or right-click it and select "Copy"):
- In this tab, open Edit menu (ALT button opens the top menu) and select Paste. There should be new view under "My Views". You can also rename a view to be more descriptive (right-click the view and select "Rename" / select the view and press F2 button from the keyboard):
Note that quick search strings are not part of the view. If you have entered some search string, you should get a notification like below when creating the view. You can either create the view without quick search strings (Yes), or decide not to create the view after all (No):
