Overview
M-Files Server can allow or limit the operations how the assignee can access the assignment properties, namely the Assigned To, Completed By and Rejected By properties.Substitute user feature and its purpose is explained in M-Files User Guide: https://www.m-files.com/user-guide/latest/eng/Substitute_users.html
The M-Files Compliance Kit sets by default restricted settings, but these can be relaxed with the below M-Files Admin configuration.
Solution
This setting allows users to mark assignment as completed or rejected on behalf of another user if the performing user is a substitute of the affected user in a document vault that has Compliance Kit enabled.- Open the M-Files Admin tool. Expand the left side tree view: Connections to M-Files Servers > ServerName > Document Vaults > VaultNamewithCKmodule > Configurations
- Expand Advanced Vault Settings > Configuration > Assignments > Permissions > Add Assignment Class. Expand it.
- Select class by starting to type it’s name to a field in red area where it reads “class”. Select correct class, like “Assignment”. Expand this new class permission to see a selection of options.
