The article gives instructions for upgrading Vault Application Framework (VAF) version from older versions.

VAF release notes should help with upgrading. Details are on the right side of the page.
If you are using older 1.x/2.x versions, it is recommended to upgrade to the next version in steps and not directly to latest one.
We recommend reviewing the info on task queues as those are the things that have seen most improvements, mostly in versions 2.2 and 2.3, and about the project references, to confirm that your code complies with the current guidance, documentation, and examples at developer.m-files.com (e.g., https://developer.m-files.com/Frameworks/Vault-Application-Framework/Task-Queues/).
Some work is always required. The amount of required work depends on the exact code of the VAF apps (perhaps as little as updating the references), and on the CK configuration if that is in use (probably none if anything at all, except ensuring mf-server version requirement is met).
