You may see the message "M-Files was updated a moment ago. Restart this application to make sure all the M-Files functions work as intended." when using Microsoft Office programs after M-Files has been automatically updated. What does this message actually mean?

 

Products and versions

All supported M-Files Online versions.
 

Explanation

This message means that you should restart the application you are currently using when the message appears. This is needed for enabling the updated version of M-Files Office Add-in. Notice that this does not mean you would need to restart M-Files.
