MSM: How to give file or share permissions to gMSA accounts

Overview

The group Managed Service Accounts (gMSA) are Active Directory accounts. When using a gMSA accounts, administrators do not need to manage password synchronization between service instances. If you are using M-Files in Multi-Server Mode, you need to use gMSA accounts.
When you are using M-Files server in Multi-Server Mode and you want to give share or file permissions to gMSA account, but when you are searching gMSA account, search is unable to find it.


Solution

You need to share folder from "Advanced Sharing" mode. And there you need select from "Select Users or Groups" window "Object types" and then select "Service Accounts":
Same thing is needed to do when modifying file permissions, from "Select Users or Groups" window, you need select from "Object types" and select "Service account":

Once you have selected "Service accounts" you can now search again and now search finds your gMSA account.
